Therapy Services Provided: “Orthopedic Spine and Sports for All Ages”
This includes all spinal conditions (headache, cervical, thoracic, lumbosacral/sacroiliac), upper extremity (hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, shoulder) and lower extremity (hip, thigh, knee, leg, shin, ankle, foot) problems. In addition (not covered by insurance) we will soon begin to provide golf-specific physical assessment and physical training programs.
We specialize in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation of all types, and for all joints.
We also treat other types of neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions, such as vestibular and balance assessment (including vertigo and other types of dizziness), vestibular therapy, balance retraining and fall prevention, evaluation and management of gait disturbances (difficulty walking), and difficulties with activities of daily living (ADL) related to the lower extremities. We provide rehabilitation after a stroke, therapy to address chronic pain conditions, and limited spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
With respect to practice setting, we provide most of our services in the clinic, but will contract with individuals, businesses, insurers or other agencies to provide advice, assessment and treatment at the workplace, home, office, or other location.
Therapy Services We Do Not Provide
We do not provide rehabilitation for pediatric neurological conditions (cerebral palsy, developmental delay, torticollis, etc), wound care, nor any customized upper extremity splinting, such as outriggers, serial casting, etc. While we do not provide Occupational Therapy (which includes cognition, task planning, and psychosocial factors related to work and disability) please note that we are qualified and expertly trained to handle upper extremity orthopedic rehabilitation.
We currently do not provide treatment for lymphedema or incontinence. We will evaluate and address TMJ problems only to the extent that they are affected by mechanical neck problems. Patients in need of more in depth evaluation and management of temporomandibular joint disorders will be referred. We know highly trained experts in areas of therapy that we do not treat, so you are always welcome to contact us for a referral.
At Terry Rehabilitation, each patient is expertly evaluated, each treatment plan is customized for that patient, and all treatment occurs with a highly trained professional.
Our rehabilitation programs include:
- Hands-on manual therapy techniques – to quickly correct loss of motion
- Supervised therapeutic exercises targeted to specific deficiencies
- Modalities such as cold packs, heat, and electrical stimulation to reduce pain, inflammation, and to increase flexibility
- Targeted home exercise programs that do not require special equipment
- Restoration of functional strength and stability for daily activities
- Work-specific or sport-specific rehabilitation
Contact us to schedule an initial evaluation. If physical therapy is recommended, we will contact your physician in writing regarding the recommended plan of care, allowing him or her to make the most informed decision possible for the care.
